Getting started with the Veo app

The Veo Live app is now called Veo. This guide explains how to update or download the app, what you can do with it, and how to find your way around. Each feature links to a guide with the full step-by-step.

Requirements

  • The Veo app, free on the App Store or Google Play
  • Internet access
  • A Veo account — you can use an existing one or create a new one for free
  • The latest version of the app

Veo Live app is now Veo

The app you know as Veo Live has a new name and a fresh new look: it is now simply Veo. Everything you could do before is still there, plus a cleaner home screen and a new Teams section.

If you already have the app installed

You only need to update the app. Once updated, Veo Live becomes Veo automatically — the icon and the name change on your home screen, and you stay logged in.

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play
  2. Search for Veo, or open your list of installed apps
  3. Tap Update

Note: Your account, your teams, your followed clubs and your match history are unchanged after the update. You do not need to create a new account.

If you don't have the app yet

Download it for free:

Who can use the Veo app

The Veo app is available to anyone with a Veo account, and creating an account is free. You don't need to own a Veo camera.

  • Players and coaches — see the matches of the teams you belong to
  • Parents, family and fans — follow teams and watch their livestreams and recordings

What you can do in the Veo app

Everyone with a Veo account can:

  • Watch livestreams, replays and recordings
  • Follow your favorite teams and get a notification when they go live
  • Share a livestream or a clip with teammates, friends and family on any platform
  • See team stats and the team heat map for any match
  • Browse and filter match events to jump straight to the moments you care about

If your club has the Veo Analytics 2 add-on, the app also lets you claim the jersey you wore and unlocks your own performance stats, per-player stats, shot maps, passing data and player comparisons. See Player stats in the Veo app

Note: Veo Analytics 2 is bought by the club or team, not by individual players.

Finding your way around the app

The app has two main tabs at the bottom of the screen, plus your profile in the top right corner.

Home

The Home tab is where all the action happens. You'll find every match from the teams you follow or belong to — currently live, recently live, and regular recordings.

Live streams

When a team you follow starts a livestream, you get a push notification so you can join instantly. Make sure notifications are enabled on your device and under Profile > Settings > Push notifications.

You can also open the app at any time and browse live matches on the Home tab. Live matches are marked with a small Live label.

Recently livestreamed matches

Once a livestream ends, it becomes available as a replay you can watch at any time.

Regular recordings

You also see regular recordings — the same ones you find when logging in to your Veo account on app.veo.co — from the teams you are a part of.

Teams

The Teams tab has two sections:

  • My Teams: the clubs and teams you are a member of, grouped by club
  • Following: the teams you have chosen to follow

Follow a team

  1. Tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner
  2. Search for the club or team by name
  3. Open the team and tap Follow Team

Note: You follow individual teams, not entire clubs. If a club has several teams, follow each one you are interested in.

Profile

Tap your profile icon in the top right corner to open your account menu:

  • Settings: appearance, push notifications, account requests, and admin options such as stream management and club privacy
  • Support:  Raise a bug, FAQs and documentation
  • About: invite friends to Veo, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy

Note: The Admin options in Settings — Stream management and Club privacy — are only visible to club administrators. See How to manage privacy settings for your club in the Veo app.

Team stats and heat map in a recording

Once a recording is uploaded and processed, open it from your Home feed or from a team's match list. Below the video you'll find the Overview and Events selector.

On the Overview, you will find the video Stats

The Stats puts your team side by side with the opponent across goals, shots, attempts, corners and more. Tap Show All to see the full list.

Events tab

Tap Events, next to Overview, to see every moment from the match as a list of clips, in order:

  • Blue jerseys are your team's events
  • Red jerseys are the opponent's events

Tip: Tap the icon on any event to Share or Download that clip.

Filter events

Tap Filters at the bottom of the Events tab to narrow the list down by team, player name or jersey number. Turn on Events only to move through the clips in sequence automatically, skipping the quiet moments.

You can also jump here directly — select the arrow next to an event stat, such as shots or assists, anywhere in Overview, and you'll land in Events pre-filtered to that player and event type.

Below Stats you'll find the Heat Map, which shows where the team was most active on the pitch. Switch between Our Team and Opponent, and use the selector in the top right to view the full recording or a single period.

If your club has the Veo Analytics 2 add-on, the Overview tab also shows My Performance, per-player stats, Top Performers, a shot map, per-player heat maps and passing data. See Player stats in the Veo app for everything Veo Analytics 2 unlocks.

FAQs

I updated the app and Veo Live is gone. Was it deleted?

No. Veo Live was renamed to Veo, so the name and icon on your home screen changed. It is the same app, with your account and history intact.

Can I use the Veo app on a tablet?

Yes. The app is available on any iOS or Android device through the App Store or Google Play.

Do I need a Veo camera or a subscription to use the app?

No. The app is free and available to anyone with a Veo account. What you can watch depends on the teams you belong to and the teams you follow.

Do I need Veo Analytics 2?

Not to watch matches, see team stats, view the team heat map or browse match events — those are available to everyone. Veo Analytics 2 is what lets you claim your jersey and unlocks your own performance stats, per-player stats, shot maps, passing data and player comparisons. See Player stats in the Veo app.

I don't see a Claim Jersey button

Claiming a jersey requires Veo Analytics 2. Without the add-on the button doesn't appear.

Why can't I see my team's matches?

You need to be a member of the team on Veo. Ask your coach or club admin to add your email address to the team roster. Once added, the team appears under Teams > My Teams.

Why can't I find my club when I search?

Clubs set to Unlisted or Private do not appear in search results. Ask a coach or club admin to share the club profile link or to add you to the team.
