Learn how to upload your Veo Go match recordings so they can be processed by AI for playback and analysis. Since each camera phone records part of the match, both devices must upload their footage via WiFi. This guide explains the upload steps, storage requirements, and key tips to avoid common errors.
Requirements
- Each phone must have a WiFi connection (they do not need to be on the same network)
- The Veo Go app must remain installed on both phones until the upload is complete
- Both phones must have the correct date and time settings
Note: When uploading, both recording phones must have the correct date and time settings. Before attempting to upload, make sure the timezone is set to automatic on both devices. If one phone has a manually set timezone that doesn’t match the actual current time, the upload may fail.
Step-by-step upload process
-
Recording storage: When you stop recording, each phone used as a camera saves half of the footage in the Veo Go app, using the device’s internal storage. Once the upload is complete, the app automatically deletes the footage to free up space
Caution: Do not uninstall the Veo Go app before the upload is complete. If you do, the footage stored on that phone will be permanently lost.
-
Connect to WiFi: Make sure each camera phone is connected to a WiFi network before uploading
- The two phones can use different networks and upload from separate locations, but we recommend starting the upload from both phones as soon as possible
-
Start the upload: On each camera phone, once the recording has been stop you can immediately start the upload process or if deciding to do it later, open the Veo Go app and manually begin the upload process
During upload, keep the Veo Go app open and in the foreground on each camera phone. Closing the app or switching to other apps may interrupt the upload and cause it to fail, restarting from 0%.
Do not use mobile data: Uploading video files over mobile data is not supported due to their size -
Monitor upload progress: The phone displays the upload status
You’ll receive a notification once both uploads are complete.
Storage requirements
- A 1.5-hour match uses about 6 GB of storage on each phone
- After upload, cached and original video files are removed from the device
Note: Longer matches will require more available storage before uploading.
