This guide explains how to manage your recording and Clubhouse privacy settings on Veo. You’ll learn how to control who can see your recordings, and how visible your Clubhouse is on the web and the Veo Live app.
Requirements
- Clubhouse admin access
- An active Veo account
How to access your privacy settings
Follow these steps to access and manage your privacy settings:
- Log in to your Veo account at app.veo.co.
- If you belong to more than one Clubhouse, make sure you’re working in the correct Clubhouse.
- From the left-side panel, select Settings.
- Go to the Privacy section.
- Here, you can manage the privacy levels for both your recordings and your Clubhouse.
Default recording privacy
Choose who can see your recordings by default. You can also change an individual recording’s privacy in the editor.
- Public: Anyone inside or outside Veo can see your Clubhouse’s recordings.
- Private: Only members of your Clubhouse can see your Clubhouse’s recordings.
Setting a default privacy level applies to all new recordings in your Clubhouse, but Clubhouse or team admins can still adjust privacy on a per-recording basis.
Note
Public recordings also appear in the Veo Live app, allowing members and followers to watch them, even if they were not livestreamed. If you prefer not to share recordings publicly, adjust the recording privacy setting to Private.
Clubhouse visibility
Choose whether and how your Clubhouse can be found by non-members on the web or in the Veo Live app.
- Public: Your Clubhouse may appear in search results. People can find it on the web or the Veo Live app and watch any public recordings.
- Unlisted: Your Clubhouse won’t appear in search results, but can be accessed by non-members via a shared link (for example, through email or WhatsApp).
- Private: Your Clubhouse won’t appear in search results and cannot be accessed by non-members via a shared link.
Note
Recording privacy controls who can watch your recordings in feeds or via a direct link. Clubhouse visibility controls who can find your Clubhouse in search results or on the Veo Live app.
How recording and Clubhouse privacy work together
Understanding how these two settings interact helps you control your Clubhouse’s exposure and audience reach:
- Public: The Clubhouse appears in search results. Public recordings are visible to everyone, while private recordings are hidden from non-members.
- Unlisted: The Clubhouse does not appear in searches but remains accessible via shared links. Public recordings can be viewed by anyone with the link; private ones stay visible only to members.
- Private: The Clubhouse is not visible in searches; the club and its content are accessible only to members.
