How to manage privacy settings for your Club on the Veo app

This article explains the three Club privacy levels in the Veo app — Public, Unlisted, and Private — and how to change them. Club privacy controls who can find your Club and who can watch your livestreams. It does not control who can watch your recordings.

Looking for something else? To set who can watch your recordings, see How to manage your Clubhouse and recording privacy settings. To understand the difference between followers and members, see Who can see your Club's content on Veo.

Requirement

  • You must be a Club admin to change privacy settings

What Club privacy controls

Club privacy in the Veo app controls two things:

  • Whether people who are not in your Club can find it in search
  • Who can watch your livestreams

Club privacy does not control who can watch your recordings. In the Veo app, recordings are only available to members — never to followers — at every Club privacy level, and whether the recording itself is set to Public or Private.

The three privacy levels

Public.png Public

  • Your Club appears in search results in the Veo app
  • The Club profile can be shared via a link

Unlisted.png Unlisted

  • Your Club does not appear in search results
  • The Club profile can be shared and accessed via the shared link—even by non-members

Private.png Private

  • Your Club does not appear in search results
  • The Club profile cannot be shared or accessed via a link

Following on Veo is tied to individual teams, not to Clubs. People follow a team, so your Club does not have Club-level followers.

How to change your Club's privacy

  1. Open the Veo app and log in
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Settings, then Club privacy
  4. Select the Club you want to change
  5. Choose Public, Unlisted, or Private

The badge at the top of the screen shows the level that is currently active, so you can check the change was saved.

Note: Followers follow individual teams, not your Club, and they can't be removed. Changing your Club's privacy level doesn't remove any followers either. What it changes is who can find your Club from that point on, and what your teams' followers can see. To limit what followers can see, set your Club to Private — recordings and activity notifications are for Club members only.

FAQs

I set my Club to Public, so why can't our followers see our recordings?

Because recordings are only available to members, not followers. Followers can watch your livestreams, but not your recordings. Neither Club privacy nor the recording's own privacy setting changes this. See Who can see your Club's content on Veo.

Does changing Club privacy change my recordings' privacy?

No. They are separate settings. Recording privacy is set on the web, at app.veo.co. See How to manage your Clubhouse and recording privacy settings.

Can I remove a follower?

No. Followers follow individual teams, not your Club, and they can't be removed individually. Changing your Club's privacy level doesn't remove them either. To limit what followers can see, set your Club to Private. Recordings and activity notifications are for Club members only.

How do I stop one match appearing in the Veo app?

Set that recording's privacy to Private on the web. See How to manage your Clubhouse and recording privacy settings.
