Veo Go is a mobile football recording solution that allows you to capture matches using iPhones. This FAQ covers everything you need to know, including device compatibility, setup, recording, storage, and subscription details.
Device Compatibility & Requirements
Recording Devices:
- Veo Go requires two iPhones for recording
- Limited to iPhones with an ultra-wide camera. For detailed information, visit the Veo Go: Supported iPhones & Compatibility Guide.
Can be any iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later. Compatible models include iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, SE (2nd gen or newer), and all newer iPhones
Android Support: Veo Go does not support Android devices. While we haven’t ruled out future development, it is not currently on our roadmap.
No, any combination of Veo Go-supported iPhones can be used to record.
Setup & Equipment
If you choose this setup instead of the two phones, here is what you need:
- Two iPhones with ultra-wide cameras to capture both halves of the pitch
- One additional device (iPhone or iPad) to control the recording, since the phone rig is mounted on a tripod
In the Veo Go app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, enter Settings, then select Recording Setup. Here you have the option to choose between the two setups.
No, we do not recommend using a Veo Cam tripod with Veo Go, or vice versa, as it may cause instability and potential accidents.
Contact our Support team for assistance. We will help you find the best solution.
iPhone 11 and later have an IP68 rating, making them water-resistant. However, unlike the Veo Cam, the exposed camera lenses can easily collect water droplets, which may blur the video depending on the weather. For more details on your iPhone’s water resistance, visit Apple’s website.
Recording & Storage
A Veo Go subscription covers:
- Storage for your matches
- AI-powered video processing for high-quality automated production
If you've used all your available recording hours, you have two options:
- Wait for the next month: Your recording hours automatically reset monthly
- Upgrade your subscription: Purchase an additional Veo Go subscription to double your recording hours, add an extra team, and include more members in your account
The storage needed depends on the length of the match. Each recording phone needs about 6GB of storage for 1 hour of recording. This space is used temporarily; once the recording is uploaded, the storage is automatically freed up.
Follow these tips to maximize video quality:
- Secure the iPhones by attaching the included waterbag to the tripod
- Ensure the entire pitch is visible in the frame, with all corners included
- Do not move the tripod once recording starts
Since Veo Go uses two different devices to record, quality may vary; newer phones offer better quality. The app attempts to blend and color-match footage from different iPhone models when the video is being processed but you might still see a slight difference in the recording.
The line you see in the middle is where the two videos (left and right) are "stitched" together. The app automatically minimizes this stitching line during processing. However, its visibility can vary depending on factors such as lighting conditions, phone camera quality, whether the phones were moved while recording, and other factors.
While iPhones do record in 4K, the video is processed and stitched together to create a seamless overview of the whole pitch. During this process, the resolution is adjusted to strike a balance between video quality, performance, file size, and adding features like Follow cam and automatic zoom.
Once the match is recorded, each phone will have captured one half of the pitch. Upload both video files to the Veo platform, where they will be combined into one full match video.
