This article guides you through how to live-stream to the Veo Live app with Veo Cam 2 and Veo Cam 3 (including 5G models), using either a nano SIM card or a WiFi connection.
To learn how to live-stream to other platforms, visit: External Streaming Destinations.
Note: This feature is optimized for football. While it may be available for other sports, we cannot guarantee the best results outside of football.
Requirements
- A Veo Cam 2, Veo Cam 3, or Veo Cam 3 5G, registered to your Clubhouse
- Live-Streaming add-on purchased with your Veo plan
- The Veo Camera app installed on your phone or tablet (to control the camera and start the livestream)
- The Veo Live app (to watch and manage the stream)
- A stable internet connection (WiFi or nano SIM card)
Internet options
You can connect your Veo Cam 2 or Veo Cam 3 to the internet in the following ways:
Connect your Veo Cam to a WiFi network by following this guide: How to connect your Veo Cam to a WiFi network. You can also use your phone as a hotspot.
This option is available for Veo Cam 2 and Veo Cam 3 5G.
- Veo Cam 2: The SIM card slot is at the bottom. Supports 4G SIM cards. Learn more: How to use a nano SIM card with your Veo Cam 2.
- Veo Cam 3 5G: The SIM card slot is at the back. Supports both 5G and 4G SIM cards. Learn more: How to insert a SIM card in the Veo Cam 3 5G.
Make sure your SIM card is activated and has no PIN. Contact your provider if unsure.
Live-streaming requires at least 5 Mbps upload speed and around 7 GB data per match (110 minutes).
See compatible data providers: Data providers and SIM cards for Veo Cam.
Tip:
If you use a device as a hotspot, keep it close to the camera to maintain a stable connection during the match.
How to start a live-stream
Once your Veo Cam is connected to the internet, follow these steps:
- Mount the camera on the tripod, placed on the centerline 3–5 meters from the sideline, with the sun behind it. Always extend the tripod to its maximum height for the best pitch coverage.
- Connect to your camera using the Veo Camera app.
- Check internet access in the camera view. Look for 4G, 5G, or WiFi indicators.
- Tap Go Live.
- Enter match details and tap Next.
- Select Veo Live as your destination and tap Next. For other platforms, see: External Streaming Destinations.
-
On the last step, the system will attempt to automatically detect the pitch corners. If Field detected shows Success, you can swipe to go live.
If Field detected shows AI needs assistance, do not accept the default. Select Manual input to ensure the corners are correctly set and to avoid issues with the livestream and recording.
For instructions on how to select the corners, visit the article Corner selection. Once the corners are confirmed, swipe to go Live.
Important:
After completing corner selection, do not move the camera. Any movement will cause poor results in both the livestream and the recording.
-
The livestream will start automatically, with a timer visible on your screen. No further action is needed. You can now close the Veo Camera app and enjoy the game.
Watch the stream in the Veo Live app. From there, you can also share the link with others.
Followers of your Club on the Veo Live app will receive a notification when your stream begins (if they have push notifications enabled).
Note: There is a delay of about 60 seconds between the live action and what viewers see on screen.
Using the Controller Panel
Once the livestream starts, you can use the Controller Panel in the Veo Live app to update:
- Clock: Start, pause, or stop the game timer
- Overlays: Display club logos, sponsor ads, or event graphics
- Score: Update the score when goals are scored
- Events: View all recorded updates, including clock changes, scores, and custom events
Learn more here: How to manage livestream updates using the Producer Panel on Veo Live.
Ending the live-stream
To stop streaming, tap Stop Livestreaming and confirm.
Recording and saving
While streaming, your Veo Cam also records the match. After streaming ends, assign match details and save the video to your Clubhouse.
