How to confirm your SIM card connection on the Veo Cam

Learn how to confirm that your Veo Cam 2 or Veo Cam 3 5G is correctly connected to a SIM card with an active data plan for live streaming.


Before you start

  • Make sure you have inserted a nano SIM card with an active data plan into your camera.
  • Ensure your camera is powered on and connected to the Veo Camera app.
  • Your SIM card must support 4G or 5G data, depending on your camera model.

1. Check the camera connection type

Once connected to your camera in the Veo Camera app, tap the dropdown arrow at the top of the screen. Under Camera connection, you should see either 4G or 5G, depending on your model and network.

2. Confirm your data provider name

You can also check which data provider your camera is using:

  1. Open the Veo Camera app and connect to your camera.
  2. Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Under Camera Network, select Wi-Fi connection.
  4. In this section, you’ll see the SIM connection and the name of your data provider.

Note: The exact layout may vary slightly between Android and iOS interfaces, but the information will appear in the same section.


3. Run a speed test in the app

To confirm your data connection is performing well, run a speed test:

  1. Go to the same Camera Network settings page in the app.
  2. Tap Speed test and wait a few moments while it runs.

If the speed test completes successfully and shows stable upload speeds, your SIM card and data plan are working correctly.
