This article answers the most common customer questions about the Veo Cam 1, including features, recording quality, connectivity, and more.
No. Livestreaming is only available with Veo Cam 2 and Veo Cam 3.
Veo Cam 1 is water-resistant (not waterproof). It can withstand light rain and small splashes, but should not be exposed to heavy rain or submerged in water.
Tip: Always make sure the rubber covers are tightly closed before using the camera outdoors.
The Veo Cam 1 records in 4K resolution. However, during processing, the final video is optimized to 1080p HD to enable smooth zooming and panning while following the action.
This optimization also ensures the videos can be viewed easily in a browser, as it wouldn't be possible to stream two 4K recordings simultaneously.
Yes. If you are the recording owner and have the necessary permissions, you can follow this guide to remove the audio: How to remove the audio from a Veo recording
It's not possible to split recordings directly in the Veo Editor. However, you can download the video and use an external video editor to separate the matches.
Note: Once edited externally, you won't be able to re-upload the videos to the Veo platform.
If the recording no longer appears in the camera's Recordings list at cam.veo.co but you can't see it among your latest recordings, it's often due to an issue with the camera's internal clock. This can cause a recording to upload with an incorrect date, so it appears further down your list instead of at the top.
To find it, try the following:
- Search by title. In your Veo clubhouse, search for the title of the recording. Make sure the title matches exactly what was entered when the recording was made.
- Search by date. If you can't find it by title, try searching for "2022-01-06". Recordings affected by this issue are often found under this date. If you find your recording, click the three dots next to it, select Edit, and update the date to the correct one. The recording will then move to the right position in your list.
- Contact support. If you still can't find the recording, contact our support team and include your camera's serial number and the approximate date of the recording.
To help avoid this issue, make sure both your camera and the Veo app are updated to the latest version.
No. Recording and charging cannot be done simultaneously with the Veo Cam 1.
This message is normal. The camera's Wi-Fi does not provide internet access — it's simply a connection method between your mobile device and the Veo Cam.
You can safely ignore the message and continue connecting to the camera without any issues.
