This guide walks you through how to troubleshoot and resolve upload issues on Veo Cam 1. You’ll learn how to verify your internet connection, manually trigger an upload, and perform a reset if the upload is stuck.
Requirements
- Veo Cam 1
- Ethernet cable
- Access to a stable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps upload speed)
- Smartphone or computer with a web browser (Google Chrome or Safari)
Step 1: Check your internet connection
Veo Cam 1 needs a stable internet connection to upload recordings. Use these steps to ensure everything is set up correctly:
-
Connect the camera to the internet
- Turn on your Veo Cam 1.
- Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the camera and the other directly into your router.
-
Check the Ethernet port lights
- Look at the Ethernet port on the camera.
- Green and orange lights ON? ✅ The camera is connected.
- No lights? ❌ Try using a different Ethernet cable or router port.
-
Confirm your upload speed
- You need at least 20 Mbps upload speed for stable uploading.
- Slower connections can cause failed or delayed uploads.
-
Check the camera’s power light
- When online, the green power button light should turn solid white.
-
Monitor upload status
- If the white light is blinking, the camera is currently uploading a recording.

Step 2: Manually start the upload
If the camera doesn't start uploading automatically, you can trigger it manually:
- On your smartphone, connect to the Veo Cam 1’s internal Wi-Fi via your device’s Wi-Fi settings. (Note: This does not provide internet access—it connects directly to the camera.)
- Open a browser (Google Chrome or Safari) and go to cam.veo.co.
-
Using iOS? If the page doesn’t load:
- Tap the blue "i" icon next to the camera's Wi-Fi name.
- Disable Private Wi-Fi Address or IP tracking.
- Once on the site, go to the Recordings list (bottom left).
- Find the missing recording and tap "Upload".
- If the button is green, the upload will begin.
- If the button is grey:
- Try another Ethernet port on your router.
- Refresh the cam.veo.co page and try again.
Step 3: Restart the camera and retry the upload
If your upload started but got stuck, try a power cycle reset:
- Keep the camera on and unplugged until the battery fully drains and powers off.
- Charge the camera for at least 4 hours.
- Before turning it back on, connect the Ethernet cable.
- Turn on the camera. The upload should automatically resume.
