How to set up and use the Veo Go portable tripod

This guide explains how to set up and safely operate the Veo Go Portable Tripod (2.7M / 8.9FT) with your Veo Phone Rig. It includes unboxing details, technical specifications, setup steps, safety tips, and recommendations for achieving stability and optimal performance.

When you open your Veo Go Portable Tripod package, make sure the following items are included:

Safety guidelines

  • Use only with the Veo Phone Rig.
  • Ensure all locking knobs are tightened before mounting equipment.
  • Do not exceed the 2 kg (4.5 lb) load capacity.
  • Level the tripod before attaching devices.
  • Move the center column slowly to avoid injury.
  • Keep fingers clear while unfolding the legs.
  • Never transport the tripod with the Phone Rig attached.
  • Use the included water bag for extra stability, especially outdoors or in windy conditions.
  • Keep out of reach of children when not in use.

Tripod setup instructions

Opening the base

  1. Loosen the central locking knob on the upper bracket.
  2. Unfold the three legs and spread them outward.
  3. Push the upper bracket down until it aligns with the "ALIGN HERE" marker (35° angle with the ground).
  4. Retighten the locking knob securely.

Extending the legs

  1. Loosen the locking knobs on each leg.
  2. Extend the legs fully.
  3. Tighten all leg knobs to lock them in place.

Adjusting the height

  1. Loosen the knobs on the telescopic center columns.
  2. Raise the center column to your desired height.
  3. Tighten all knobs securely once adjusted.

Mounting the Veo Phone Rig

  1. Attach the Phone Rig to the tripod using the built-in ¼” screw.
  2. Ensure the Phone Rig has a ¼” female thread to connect securely.

Note: The Veo Phone Rig is sold separately.

Leveling and stability

Leveling the tripod

  • Adjust the tripod legs individually to accommodate uneven terrain.
  • Ensure the Phone Rig is completely level before recording or streaming.

Adding more stability

  1. Fill the provided water bag with water.
  2. Securely close the cap to prevent leaks.
  3. Attach the water bag to the tripod’s hook for extra weight and stability.

Tip: Always use the water bag when filming outdoors or in breezy environments to prevent tipping.
