Learn how to perform a manual reboot or a factory reset on your Veo Cam 1 to resolve technical issues, connection errors, or upload problems.

Requirements

  • Access to your Veo Cam 1
  • Charging cable and a power source
  • A device with a web browser (only for factory reset)
  • Access to the Veo Cam 1's Wi-Fi network

How to reboot your Veo Cam 1

A reboot is the best first step for resolving the most common issues without deleting any of your data.

  1. Ensure the camera is fully charged to help the process run smoothly
  2. Turn on the camera and wait for one minute (if the camera won’t turn on, proceed to the next step)
  3. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to force a reboot

  4. Turn the camera back on and try to connect again to check if the issue is resolved

When to use a reboot

Rebooting your camera can help resolve the following issues:

  • The Veo Camera app does not detect or recognize the camera
  • Recordings are stuck or not uploading
  • Registration cannot be completed
  • Missing preview when trying to record
  • "Internal Server Error" messages
  • Incorrect date or time on recordings
  • SD card error messages
  • Camera not turning on

What a reboot cannot fix

  • Physical damage, such as a cracked lens or broken casing
  • Hardware-related charging issues where the camera fails to receive power

Note: Rebooting is the second last troubleshooting step. Only proceed to a factory reset if a reboot fails to solve the problem

How to factory reset your Veo Cam 1

A factory reset is a last resort. This process restores the camera to its default settings but will permanently erase everything stored on the device.

Warning: A factory reset will format the internal SD card and delete all saved recordings. Ensure you have uploaded or backed up any valuable footage before proceeding

  1. Connect to the Veo Cam Wi-Fi: On your device, connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network using the password found on the back of the camera
  2. Open the configuration page: Enter 10.10.10.1:81 into your web browser address bar

  3. Verify SD card space: Check that no recordings are left. The available space should be approximately 54GB
  4. Click Factory Reset: This will format the SD card and reset the internal software
  5. Restart the camera: Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to complete the process
