How Veo works in different weather conditions

See how Veo Cam performs in different weather and lighting conditions, from hot sunny days and rain to snow and night games, plus quick links to sample footage.

Veo Cam is designed for outdoor sports environments and performs reliably in a wide range of conditions. Whether you’re recording in a downpour or on a snowy pitch, Veo detects the ball and delivers high-quality footage.

Recording in hot temperatures

The active cooling system keeps Veo Cam operating in warm climates. With Veo Cam 3, you can record comfortably in temperatures up to 45 °C. To reduce glare, position the camera with the sun behind it.

Recording in the rain

Veo Cam is water-resistant (not waterproof), so it can handle light rain without affecting recording quality. In heavier downpours, wipe the lenses with a soft, dry cloth during halftime to maintain clarity.

Note: Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or submerging the camera. Always dry the unit after use.

Recording in the snow

Winter matches are no problem. Keep an eye on the lenses and clean away snow or moisture as needed. Ensure any rubber covers are securely closed before recording. Using a brightly colored ball improves visibility against snow.

Tip: If snow accumulates during play, quickly check lenses at the break to keep the view unobstructed.

Recording at night

Veo automatically adjusts to low light so you can record clear video under artificial lighting — ideal for evening fixtures or indoor venues with floodlights.

Tip: Even, consistent lighting across the pitch helps tracking and image quality.
