Tactics (Available for football only)
Select the tactics used for the game to have even more context when analyzing and breaking down the game. You can select as many tactics from the list as you want.
Defensive
Counter-attacking: Absorb pressure from the opposition and quickly transition to attack when possession is regained. Key features are quick passing, exploiting space, and fast-forward players.
Sweeper keeper: The goalkeeper acts as an extra defender, sweeping up loose balls and supporting build-up play. Key features are a high defensive line, a ball-playing goalkeeper, and quick distribution.
Low block: Deep, compact defending close to the team’s penalty area.
Balanced
Possession and ball control: Use short, precise passes to maintain control and break down opponents. Key features: patient build-up and positional play, especially in midfield.
False 9: A forward/striker drops deeper into midfield to confuse defenders and create space for others to exploit. Key features are interchanging positions and midfield overloads.
Gegenpressing: Immediately press the opposition after losing possession, aiming to win the ball back quickly. Disrupt the opponent's build-up play and transitions into attack instantly. Key features are intense and coordinated pressing, relying on high fitness levels, tactical discipline, and quick decision-making.
Inverted wingbacks/fullbacks: Fullbacks drift into central midfield positions during the build-up, providing additional options for ball progression and controlling central areas rather than staying wide. Key features are positional fluidity, supporting central midfield in overloads, and reducing reliance on traditional wide play.
Midblock: Maintain a compact shape in the middle third of the pitch, allowing the opposition controlled possession in their own half but stepping up to press and disrupt play as they move into the midfield. Key features are controlled pressing triggers when opponents enter designated zones, and an emphasis on closing passing lanes and forcing opponents wide.
Double pivot: Two central midfielders operate in deeper positions, providing both defensive stability and playmaking options.
Attacking
High pressing: Focus on winning the ball back as high up the pitch as possible, putting pressure on the opponents in their own half. Key features are periods of intense effort and forcing errors.
Overlapping fullbacks/wingbacks: Fullbacks or wingbacks who push forward to provide width and deliver crosses or create chances. Key features are wide overloads, high-stamina players, and frequent crossing into the box.
Long ball/direct play: Focus on bypassing the midfield with long passes to a target player or quick attackers. Key features are physical forwards, quick transitions, and aerial duels.
