How to create clips, tag players, and add comments in the Veo Editor

Master the Veo Editor by creating custom clips to highlight key match moments. Learn how to tag involved players for direct feedback, add insightful descriptions with @mentions, and manage visibility settings to share the right clips with the right people.


How to Create Clips in Veo Editor

  1. Start a new clip: Once your cursor is resting on the correct place in the timeline where you'd like your clip to appear, click the + icon on the side menu bar. Depending on your interface, select New Clip or Create Clip, or press H as a keyboard shortcut.

  2. Select or create a tag: Choose a predefined tag or create your own to label the clip.

    You will notice that each tag, whether it’s a predefined tag or one you’ve created, includes an underlined letter or number. This mark indicates a keyboard shortcut you can use to quickly select that tag.

  3. Set the clip duration in Follow Cam mode: By default, clips are 30 seconds long. You can extend them up to 3 minutes by dragging the handles on the timeline.
    Note: You can extend clips by clicking the bar, but cannot reduce their length after setting.

  4. Tag involved players and add a description: Select whether the clip is about your team or the opponent. Select involved players, add a description, and mention anyone part of the Team using @membername to give feedback or initiate discussions.

  5. Adjust visibility settings: Choose who can view the clip by modifying its privacy settings.

  6. Save your clip: Click "Save" to add the clip to your clips list in the left side panel.

Can I edit a clip after saving it?

Yes, you can edit any clip you’ve created. Open the side panel, find your clip, click the three-dot menu (⋮), and select Edit.

Note: You can only edit clips that you created yourself.

What's the difference between Follow Cam and Interactive Mode?

Follow Cam automatically tracks the ball and mimics a live broadcast style.

Interactive Mode gives you manual control over the camera’s viewpoint—click the four arrows symbol to enter it.

How do I remove or change a tag on a clip?

Open the clip using the Edit option in the three-dot menu. You can then update or delete the tag text.

Can I export clips for use outside Veo?

Yes! You can download clips in two ways:

  • Click the three dots next to a single clip to Download it individually.
  • To download all clips, click Download all clips at the top of the Editor or use the three dots at the top of the Clips menu.

All clips will be downloaded as a zip file.

Will people get notified when they're tagged in a clip or mentioned in the description?

Yes, players when they are tagged in a clip, and Team members when they are mentioned, receive an email notification.
