If you're having trouble connecting your iPhone to Veo Go, this guide will walk you through essential troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Requirements
- An iPhone with WiFi enabled
- The latest version of the Veo Go app installed
- Local Network permissions granted to the Veo Go app
1. Make sure WiFi is enabled
Veo Go relies on WiFi to create a connection between devices, so make sure WiFi is enabled in all devices.
How to enable WiFi:
- Go to Settings > WiFi and ensure it's switched on
- Alternatively, open the Control Center and tap the WiFi icon to enable it
Note: Bluetooth is not used for Veo Go connections.
2. Update the Veo Go app
Using an outdated version of Veo Go can cause connection issues. Ensure all devices are running the latest app version.
How to update:
- Open the App Store
- Search for Veo Go
- If an update is available, tap Update
3. Keep devices within range
Make sure all iPhones involved are physically close to each other during the connection process for best results.
Tip: Ideally, devices should be within a few meters of one another when establishing the connection.
4. Check local network permissions
Veo Go needs permission to access your iPhone's local network to connect with other devices. This permission is typically requested on first launch, but if it was denied, you can enable it manually.
How to enable local network access:
- Open the Settings app
- Scroll down and tap Veo Go
- Toggle on Local Network
Note: Without this permission, Veo Go will not be able to discover nearby devices.
5. Restart the Veo Go app
If you're still having trouble, try restarting the app to clear any temporary glitches.
How to restart:
- Swipe up from the bottom of your screen (or double-press the Home button on older models)
- Locate Veo Go and swipe up to close it
- Reopen the app and try connecting again
6. Reboot your iPhone
Restarting your device can fix background issues that may interfere with the connection.
How to restart your iPhone:
- Press and hold the Power button (or Power + Volume Down on some models) until the power-off slider appears
- Slide to power off
- Wait a few seconds, then turn the iPhone back on
- Open the Veo Go app and try connecting
7. Delete and reinstall the app
If the connection issue continues, try deleting and reinstalling the Veo Go app. However, if your device has been used as a camera for Veo Go, first make sure there are no recordings pending upload. If the app is deleted, any recordings that haven’t been uploaded will be permanently lost.
