Learn the best practices for charging and storing your Veo Cam to keep your battery healthy and your camera ready for every match.
Charging best practices
Always use the charger provided with your Veo Cam.
To change the charger adaptor, press the button on top and pull the adaptor upwards to remove it. Insert the correct adaptor and push it in until you hear a small click.
- If you don’t have your original charger, use a USB-C PD (Power Delivery) charger rated between 45W and 90W. Avoid phone chargers — they don’t provide enough voltage to charge the camera properly.
You can connect the Veo Cam to a portable power bank while recording. We recommend using a power bank with an output of 15V or 20V and at least 3A (minimum 45W) to ensure effective charging.
Note: Charging while recording can cause the camera to heat up, which may reduce the maximum safe recording temperature. Use this setup with care in warm environments.
- Charge and store your camera at room temperature, ideally around 20°C (68°F).
- Avoid charging or storing your camera in humid environments. If your camera gets wet, wait until it’s completely dry before connecting it to power.
Warning: Charging a wet device may damage internal components.
Storage and battery maintenance
- When stored, the Veo Cam battery will slowly self-discharge. To ensure enough power for recording or livestreaming, charge your camera the day before — or even the same day — as your match.
- If you plan to store the camera for an extended period (for example, between seasons), charge it to 100% once a month. This helps preserve long-term battery health and performance.
Understanding standby mode
Your Veo Cam is designed to stay ready for action. When you press the power button, it doesn’t fully power off — it enters standby mode instead.
- Standby mode allows for faster startup when you need to record.
- Because standby mode uses a small amount of power, check the battery level before each recording session.
Note: Even when not in use, your Veo Cam slowly consumes battery power while in standby. Regularly charging ensures it’s always ready for your next game.
