Learn how to use Team Stats in Veo's Analytics Studio to track your team's performance trends across multiple matches, compare data over time, and align with your club's football philosophy.

What is Team Stats?
Team Stats is part of Analytics Studio and helps coaches and teams track performance trends over multiple matches through visual insights and data-driven analysis. It simplifies breaking down a season by linking coaching decisions to statistical outcomes.
Looking for a single match instead? Team Stats shows data aggregated across several games. To review one specific match in detail, see the Analytics panel in a recording.
How to access Team Stats
- Log in to your account at app.veo.co, and make sure you are in the right Clubhouse, if you're part of more than one
- On the left side panel, go to Analytics Studio
- Make sure you're on the Team stats tab (alongside Player stats)
- Use the filters at the top to choose which recordings to analyze — for example, Last 10 recordings, Only with Analytics, a specific match type, formation, or specific recordings.
Who can edit content in Team Stats?
- Coach Note: Editable by Coaches and Team Admins
- Key Metrics & Comparison Radial: Editable by Coaches (any permission level), Admins, and Editors
Coach Note
Found at the top of Analytics Studio, above the Team stats and Player stats tabs. This section lets you set and share your team's focus for the season (e.g., skill development, teamwork).

Key metrics
Display up to 4 statistics at once, including advanced AI-detected metrics such as Possession, Pass strings, and advanced performance data.
Click Edit key metrics above the cards to choose which stats to show.
Progression charts
Below Key metrics, filter your available metrics over time to track trends across multiple games.
Click any point on the chart to open a side panel with more detail on that match, including:
- Insights: a quick summary of that match, including a Journal where you can note what went right, what went wrong, and the one thing the team should do next time
- Setup: match details such as sides, periods, and lineup
- Analytics: the full stats breakdown for that match
Select Open recording from the panel to jump into the full match video.
Game maps
Veo's AI-generated game maps help you visually present the facts and identify trends over time, aggregated across your selected matches.
- Shot map: Automatically shows where shots occurred and which resulted in goals, for both teams
- Pass location: Automatically shows the percentage of completed passes in the defensive, middle, and attacking thirds
- Possession location: Automatically shows where teams had possession on the pitch, as a percentage
Note: You can filter the maps by attacking or defending plays, and by your team or the opponent
Comparison radial
Use the Comparison Radial to compare up to 6 metrics across different teams or time periods. Click Edit metrics above the radial to choose the stats.
Add context by comparing your team's data with others in your club or across specific dates.
Note: Test Recording match types are excluded from Analytics Studio
Pro Tip: If you notice inaccuracies in your data, you can improve the AI's detection! Go to the Veo Editor and manually change, add, or delete the events tagged by the AI. Correcting these tags will update the statistics shown in Team Stats
