What Heat maps show
Heat maps visualize team positioning over time. The redder the Heat map gets, the higher the concentration of play in that area.
This tool helps answer tactical questions such as:
- Is your team playing wide enough?
- Are the wings being used effectively?
- Is your team getting pushed back for long periods?
Before you start
Confirmed sides and periods of the pitch are essential for Heat maps to work correctly.

How to use Heat maps
Select team and period
Heat maps display one team and match period at a time. Use the team selector to choose your team or the opponent.
Set Heat map interval
Use the slider to choose an interval and generate a Heat map for that specific period. For example, select an interval just before a goal or key highlight to understand your team’s positioning.
Read the Heat map
The redder the Heat map, the higher the activity in that zone. Heat maps are team-based player tracking visuals and do not differentiate between on- and off-ball movement.
Availability
- Heat maps are available on both desktop and mobile.
